Functional surface coatings

Coating glass, metal and plastic changes the surface properties of these substrates. Wafer-thin, translucent layers ensure that surfaces not only react to external influences but also act effectively. They can thus take on special tasks and functions. Depending on the type of coating used, they develop a photocatalytic or hydrophilic/hydrophobic effect or else become conductive.

Our range of functional coatings

Areas of application

Photocatalytic coatings

Photocatalytic coatings on glass and metal surfaces are widely used in industry, e.g. to break down pollutants or odours using photocatalytically active titanium dioxide and UV light. Photocatalytically active reactors are used for water treatment.

Anti-fog coatings

Anti-fog coatings, either hydrophilic or hydrophobic, are used in industry for equipment production and glazing, often in combination with other coatings.

Electrically conductive coatings

Electrically conductive coatings ensure the dissipation of electrical charges in chemical reactors or laboratories.
